Virtual Assistant Site Review: VAClassroom.com
I’m starting a new “site review” series where I’m going to be reviewing websites that I think are valuable to virtual assistants. If you’re interested in having your site reviewed (it’s a great way to increase quality incoming links!), leave a comment with the link or send me an email: tia@allamericanadmin.com

Virtual Assistant Site Review #1: VAClassroom.com
Every now and again I come across a resource for
virtual assistants that I think is of extraordinary
value. I found such value in VAClassroom.com’s
training center.
(In case you’re wondering, YES, I have personally
experienced paid membership at VAClassroom.com)
so I am qualified to really review it!)
Today’s top virtual assistants excel by assisting
their clients in a number of tasks related to
internet and technology. Neither needs to be scary!
I’m naturally inclined toward internet, technology,
software, etc, but even if you aren’t, it’s not
something you should shy away from.
VAClassroom offers a number of training modules
geared toward increasing your knowledge of some of
the hottest trends in virtual assistance today:
internet marketing, blogs, shopping cart assistance
and more.
Here’s what Craig, co-founder of VAClassroom.com has
to say:
“Our primary mission at VAClassroom is to provide
skill-based Training Programs that equip Virtual
Assistants with the exact skills and knowledge
businesses are seeking today. I am sure you all can
relate to taking a course only to discover that it
did not provide the relevant skills needed to find
tangible work opportunities. At VAClassroom, our
courses are created based on the input of our network
of Internet Business colleagues who regularly hire
Virtual Assistants. This gives us the confidence that
we are providing the right kind of training that will
translate to real work opportunities for VAs.”
Congrats to VAClassroom.com on a job well-done!

As a Virtual Assistant, I really like that you are providing reviews of some of the services or sites out there for Virtual Assistants. Since you’ve experienced their services or programs, I would be interested in hearing more about just what you gained from VAClassroom that was helpful to you and your business. What did you personally gain from your experience with them? What value did you find in working with them? Thanks!!

Hi Kim!
Great question - thanks for asking.
What value did I find working with VAClassroom? It’s two-fold: (1) It’s the only program I’ve seen that really targets training for the work that I do & (2) It’s also the one *affordable* program out there that lets you pay as you go.
To add clarity I am an internet marketing assistant and I also work with other VAs - outsourcing IMA work. I often have too much to do so I’ve grown my solo practice into a budding multi-VA practice.
I love training VAs but I don’t have the time to really dedicate myself to doing it. Once I enrolled in VAClassroom - I stayed for two months - I was able to see that they offer training in areas that are exact matches for my clients’ needs: shopping cart for autoresponders (especially), article submission, social media, and general internet marketing strategies like online reputation management and surveys.
Not only that, but they are and have been a constant source of great ideas that I can add to my practice. I came across things while I was there that I thought “I should be doing this!” That was well worth the low monthly fee.
Most importantly, the value is outstanding. You won’t find such a wealth of information at such a low cost ANYWHERE else. I’m not saying that for hype (I really hate b.s.), I’m saying it because it’s true.
And one additional thing - their program is not archaic. I consider myself to be pretty internet savvy although there are people WAY above me. But when I went through the training materials at VAClassroom, I have to say I was impressed that the information presented is up-to-date and I know that they work hard to keep it that way.
The nice thing about pay as you go is that you can end when you want to. I ended when I had decided I’d learned what I needed to, and didn’t need the rest.
Hope that helps!

Hi Tia,
I absolutely agree with your evaluation of VAClassroom Internet Marketing VA course. I finished the course and got the certification last month. The amount of highly relevant information presented in the course was sometimes overwhelming (in a good way). I considered myself pretty up-to-date on social networking and blogging, yet found out a lot of new information. And then there were course segments on particular VA tasks that I didn’t know about before such as web analytics and affiliate marketing. What I really liked about this course was the resource guide - it provided lots and lots of tips, links, advice in addition to the main course content.

In my 13 years of working in an administrative capacity and 2 years of establishing my Internet Marketing Virtual Assistant company I am astounded at the vast amount of tools, resources, and skills that I have gained through my certification at VAclassroom.com. This alone has enabled me to gain 3 top notch clients within a 2 week period who are all excited about my skills and commitment to continuous learning through VAclassroom.com.
